About this site

Charmouth Camping and Caravanning Club Site is a green, well kept touring park in rolling countryside near Charmouth on the Dorset Jurassic Coast. The site sits at Monkton Wyld Farm on Scotts Lane, just off the A35 and roughly three miles inland from both Charmouth beach and the harbour town of Lyme Regis, so it works as a quiet countryside base rather than a beachfront pitch. Pitches are spacious and sheltered by hedges, with grass options, grass with electric hook-up, hardstanding with electric and super service pitches that add fresh water and waste drainage. Tents, trailer tents, caravans and motorhomes are all welcome, which makes Charmouth a flexible choice for families, couples and dog owners. The trade off is the short drive to the sea and the club booking system, which non-members can still use at a higher rate. Facilities include a fully accessible washroom, a family shower room, a well stocked shop, a children's play area, a recreation hall and a dedicated dog walk with a dog wash. Days out include the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre, fossil hunting on the beach, Lyme Regis and the wider Jurassic Coast. The site is open from early February to early November. Members' prices start from £13.45 a night, booked through the Camping and Caravanning Club.

How far is the site from the beach?
