Church Farm Certificated Site

Church Farm Certificated Site is a small, members only Camping and Caravanning Club site on farmland in the village of Church Knowle, in the Purbeck hills of Dorset. The pitch field runs to 2.5 acres and is partly level and well sheltered, which counts for a lot on this exposed corner of Dorset. Corfe Castle sits about a mile east, Wareham is roughly four miles north and the Purbeck coast is a short drive south. As a Certificated Site the limit is five caravans or motorhomes plus up to ten tents, and pitching is grass only with no electric hook up, so Church Farm suits self sufficient tourers, tent campers and campervans rather than anyone who needs a powered pitch or a full facilities block. A flushing toilet and washbasins are on site, and rooftop tents are allowed. The draw is the quiet: a farm field, a village with a pub, a takeaway and a play area nearby, and countryside walks from the gate. The site opens from 1 April to 31 October and Club member prices run from £10.00 a night, booked through the Camping and Caravanning Club.
