About this site

Colyton Shiphay Farm is a five-van Certificated Site on a working farm right on the edge of Colyton village in East Devon. Run under the Camping and Caravanning Club, this half-acre level field welcomes Club members with caravans, motorhomes, campervans, trailer tents and tents, up to five outfits at a time, plus rooftop tents for something different. Pitches are grass with no electric hookup and there is no toilet block, so you will need to be fully self-sufficient with your own on-board facilities. The river Coly runs past one corner, and it is only a few minutes on foot to the Seaton Tramway, which trundles down the Axe estuary to the coast. A pub, restaurant and shop are close by, with fishing, horse riding and tennis available nearby and public transport within a mile. Members pay from £8 per night for two adults and two children, and the site opens from March to the end of October. Colyton Shiphay Farm suits self-sufficient tourers who value a peaceful East Devon pitch near Colyton over full facilities, so first-time campers wanting showers should choose elsewhere. Book through the Camping and Caravanning Club.
