Why campers love it here
About this site
Crossways Caravan and Motorhome Club Site is a wooded touring park at Moreton, about five miles east of Dorchester in Dorset, laid out across 35 acres of landscaped woodland. Pitching is arranged in open groves linked by a snaking site road, which gives the place more shelter and more privacy than a standard open field. The Caravan and Motorhome Club runs the site itself and takes caravans, motorhomes and tents, with toilet and shower facilities in separate eco friendly blocks and a pub next door serving food. Moreton railway station is a seven minute walk away, with services to Dorchester, Weymouth, Poole and Bournemouth, so you can leave the car and the van on the pitch and still get out for the day. Durdle Door is seven miles away and Lulworth Cove is a short drive, which makes Crossways a sensible Jurassic Coast base without a coastal park price tag. It suits tourers and families who want proper facilities and good transport links, and it will not suit anyone hoping to pitch within sight of the sea, because the coast is a drive away. Dogs stay free. Crossways is open to Club members and non members alike from 15 March to 4 November, and pitches are booked and priced through the Club's own booking system.
