About this site

Dartmouth Camping and Caravanning Club Site, formerly known as Deer Park, is a coastal touring site at Stoke Fleming on the South Hams coast, about two miles from the harbour town of Dartmouth in South Devon. Run by the Camping and Caravanning Club, it overlooks Start Bay and has sea views from some pitches, with the crescent shingle beach of Blackpool Sands within walking distance, roughly a mile away. The site takes tents, caravans and motorhomes across spacious grass and hardstanding pitches, most with electric hook-up, plus a large camping field, and a bus stop at the entrance means you can leave the car and skip the narrow Devon lanes. Facilities include showers, a shop, an accessible washroom and Club Site WiFi. It is best suited to beach lovers, walkers and couples after a relaxed base for the South Hams, though there is no dog walk on the site and some pitches slope, so levelling ramps are handy. Non members are welcome to book alongside members. Blackpool Sands, the South West Coast Path, Dartmouth Castle and the steam railway are all close, and Totnes with its Norman castle is a short drive. The site opens from late March to late October and members can book pitches from around £12.20 per adult per night, making Dartmouth a tidy, well run choice near the coast.
