About this site

Diggerland Campsite is a touring park set in the grounds of Verbeer Manor near Willand and Cullompton in South Devon, sitting right next to the Diggerland theme park. The location is easy to reach, just a few minutes from the M5 at junctions 27 and 28, and it puts you within an easy 30 mile drive or cycle of both Exmoor and Dartmoor. All the touring pitches for caravans, campervans, motorhomes and tents are flat, level and well sheltered with good drainage, and electric hook-up is available on some, so pre-booking those early is sensible. During the peak summer season a separate grassy paddock field opens for tent campers, rallies, groups, scouts and guides, with no marked pitches or hook-ups. Every pitch is on grass, as there are no hardstandings. This suits families visiting the attraction or anglers heading for the neighbouring Diggerlakes carp fishing, and it is less suited to anyone wanting seclusion or an evening campfire, as open fires are not permitted. A petrol station at the top of the drive sells basic groceries. The site opens roughly April to November, with tent pitches from £14 a night for two and caravans or motorhomes from £26, all booked and paid online in advance, as turning up without a booking carries a surcharge.

Good to know

How much are pitches at Diggerland Campsite?
Tent pitches for one or two people start from £14 a night, rising for larger tents, and caravan or motorhome pitches are from £26 a night. Electric hook-up adds to each price. All bookings are made and paid online in advance, and turning up without booking carries a full surcharge.
Is Diggerland Campsite next to the theme park?
Yes, the campsite shares the grounds of Verbeer Manor with the Diggerland theme park and is adjacent to the DiggerLakes carp fishing. It sits just a few minutes from the M5 junctions 27 and 28, making it an easy base for a family visit to the attraction.
Are campfires allowed at Diggerland Campsite?
No, open fires are not permitted anywhere on the site, and low-level or ground barbecues that could scorch the grass are restricted too. The park is focused on family visits to the theme park, so it is worth reading the site rules before you arrive to avoid any surprises.
Are dogs welcome at Diggerland Campsite?
Yes, dogs are welcome and the pitch price includes them. The site asks that dogs are kept on a lead at all times, that owners clean up after them, and that pets are not left unattended. Well-behaved dogs are fine, but check the park rules when you book.
Does Diggerland Campsite have electric hook-ups?
Yes, electric hook-up is available on some of the touring pitches, and the site advises pre-booking these online as early as possible to avoid disappointment. The summer paddock field used for tents, rallies and groups has no electric hook-ups and no marked pitches.
When is Diggerland Campsite open?
The campsite opens for the season from around April to November. The paddock camping field opens during the peak summer period for tent campers, rallies and groups. Bank holiday weekends carry a minimum three night stay, so check current dates and terms when booking online.
