Why campers love it here
About this site
Dornafield is a touring and camping site in a quiet valley at Two Mile Oak, near Newton Abbot in South Devon, set around a historic 14th century farmhouse. Long run by the Dewhirst family as a multi award winning park, Dornafield is now operated as Dornafield Dartmoor Club Campsite by the Caravan and Motorhome Club, open to both members and non members. The site takes touring caravans and motorhomes, with a small number of tent pitches, across 155 pitches, most of them hardstanding and many fully serviced, with a maximum outfit length of nine metres. It sits in gentle countryside between Dartmoor and the coast, which makes it a handy touring base: Newton Abbot is a couple of miles away, the English Riviera of Torbay is a short drive, and Totnes on the River Dart is close by. The facilities are a strong point, with well kept heated amenity blocks, generous showers, laundries, a play area, a games room and a dog walk on site. Charcoal and gas BBQs are allowed. Dogs and families are both welcome. The site opens from late March to early November, and touring pitches are booked through the Caravan and Motorhome Club, where from prices update through the season.
