Why campers love it here
About this site
Exe Camping and Caravanning Certificated Site is a small member run touring site at Greenacres on Hulham Road, on the edge of Exmouth in South Devon, and it is currently closed while the site is redeveloped. The operators have confirmed the site is shut until March 2027, when they plan to reopen to returning and new campers, so it cannot be booked for the 2026 season. When open, this is a Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site taking a handful of caravans, motorhomes and tents, run for Club members with electric hook-up and the usual water and washing points. The location is its main draw, a short distance off the main road with views over Exmouth and Woodbury Common, close to the two mile golden sand beach, the River Exe and the start of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. It suits members touring East Devon and families who want a simple, well placed base near the coast rather than a large park with pools and entertainment. Dogs are welcome, and the season normally runs from spring through to the end of October. Because of the redevelopment, check directly with Exe Camping and Caravanning for reopening dates and booking before planning a trip to this part of South Devon.
