About this site

Forest Glade Holiday Park is a quiet, family-run touring, camping and glamping park set in a forest clearing on the Blackdown Hills, between Cullompton and Honiton in Devon. The park has been run by the same family for close to 50 years and sits sheltered within 300 acres of privately owned pine forest in a designated National Landscape, with walking trails straight from the gate. It is inland rather than coastal, so this is a woodland-and-countryside break rather than a beach one. Accommodation covers level, sheltered camping and touring pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes (with electric hook-ups, hardstandings, a campers' kitchen and a laundry), plus glamping camping pods, self-catering holiday caravans and an apartment. On site there is a covered heated swimming pool, a sauna, a tennis court, a games room, two children's play areas and indoor soft play, all free to use except the games room. There is deliberately no bar, clubhouse or evening entertainment, so evenings are for barbecues, fire pits and stargazing. The park welcomes couples and families but does not accept hen or stag groups. It opens for 2026 from 20 March to 15 November, with pitches, pods and caravans booked through Forest Glade's own booking system.

Good to know

When is Forest Glade Holiday Park open in 2026?
Forest Glade is open for the 2026 season from 20 March to 15 November, then closes for winter. It is a good choice for early spring and autumn breaks as well as summer, thanks to its sheltered forest setting on the Blackdown Hills in Devon.
Does Forest Glade have a swimming pool?
Yes, Forest Glade has a covered, heated swimming pool and a sauna on site, both free for guests to use. There is also a tennis court, a games room, two children's play areas and an indoor soft play area suitable for younger children under six.
Is Forest Glade suitable for hen or stag groups?
No, Forest Glade welcomes couples and families but does not accept groups of young people, hen or stag parties, or contractors. It is a quiet forest park with no bar or evening entertainment, aimed at people wanting a peaceful countryside break away from it all.
Does Forest Glade offer glamping?
Yes, the park has glamping camping pods for guests who want a few more comforts than a tent, with no pitching required on arrival. Alongside the pods it offers holiday caravans, a self-catering apartment and level camping and touring pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes.
Are dogs allowed at Forest Glade?
Yes, dogs are very welcome at Forest Glade, and some of the holiday caravans are pet-friendly too. The forest setting has walking trails directly from the park, so there is plenty of on-site space to exercise dogs among the pines and surrounding countryside.
Is there a beach near Forest Glade?
No, Forest Glade is an inland forest park on the Blackdown Hills, so it is not a beach base. It suits walkers and families who want woodland, peace and countryside, with the Devon and East Devon coasts reachable by car for a day out.
