About this site

Fox Wood Camping puts you under oak trees in the South Downs National Park at Patching in West Sussex, a few miles inland from the coast at Worthing. The site sits down a quiet dead-end lane off Selden Lane, close enough to cycle to the beaches at Goring-by-Sea, Ferring and Littlehampton in around ten minutes, and two dog-friendly country pubs, The Fox and The World's End, are an easy walk across the fields. Every pitch at Fox Wood comes with its own steel campfire surround, whether you are in a woodland tent pitch among the trees, on the campervan meadow pitch at the forest edge, or glamping in a shared bell tent village or a private single-family Emperor bell tent. That makes it a strong fit for families and groups who want a proper fireside trip with hot showers and clean toilets rather than a stripped-back wild camp, and it will not suit anyone needing electric hook-up, since none is offered. The woodland sits within a designated Dark Sky Reserve, so clear nights bring genuinely good stargazing, and the on-site shop sells everything for marshmallow toasting. Camping and glamping run from May to September, with weekend breaks advertised from £123 in this pocket of West Sussex.
