About this site

Greenacres Certificated Site is a small, adults only Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site on Dottery Road in the West Dorset countryside, a mile from Bridport and a short drive from the Jurassic Coast. The site runs to 1.5 acres, partly sloping, with six large fully drainable hardstanding pitches, each divided by established hedgerows and given its own picnic bench. Grass pitches with and without electric hook up are also listed, and the electric is metered. The shower room and separate toilet are heated with hot water, which is why Greenacres opens all year rather than shutting for the winter. The adults only policy is the honest headline here: the Club notes that while most Certificated Sites permit children, this one has chosen to be adults only, so families need to look elsewhere. Dogs are welcome and there is a designated dog walk. What stands out is the neighbour, a locally acclaimed farm shop with a kitchen and restaurant right next door, plus the proximity to Bridport itself, a Dorset market town with street markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays, the Art Deco Electric Palace cinema and a busy arts and live music scene. West Bay is a short drive. Booking ahead is advised, and member prices start from £23 a night.

Good to know

Can children stay at Greenacres Certificated Site?
No, Greenacres has chosen to be adults only. The Camping and Caravanning Club flags this explicitly on the listing, noting that while the majority of Certificated Sites do permit children, this one does not. If you are travelling as a family near Bridport you will need a different site.
Are dogs allowed at Greenacres?
Yes, the Club listing shows pets welcome and a designated dog walk among the site facilities. Combined with the adults only policy and a one mile hop into Bridport, that makes it a straightforward pick for couples touring West Dorset with a dog in the back of the van.
Is Greenacres open all year?
Yes, the Club listing gives 2026 opening dates of 1 January to 31 December. The owners added heating and hot water to the shower room and separate toilet specifically so the site could open year round, which makes it a genuine option for winter touring in Dorset rather than a summer only stop.
How much does it cost to stay at Greenacres?
Member prices start from £23.00 a night according to the Club listing. That is a members price per unit, per night. Electric hook up is metered and charged on top, and the Club listing notes that booking ahead is advised, so do not count on turning up on spec.
What pitch types does Greenacres have?
There are six large fully drainable hardstanding pitches, each with established dividing hedgerows for privacy and its own picnic bench. The Club also lists grass pitches with and without electric hook up, plus hardstanding with electric hook up. The site covers 1.5 acres and is partly sloping.
How far is Greenacres from Bridport and the beach?
Bridport is only a mile away, with street markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays, the Art Deco Electric Palace and plenty of pubs and tea rooms. The Jurassic Coast is a very short distance further, with West Bay the obvious first stop. A farm shop and restaurant sit next door to the site.
