Why campers love it here
About this site
Harford Bridge Holiday Park is a five-star, family-run holiday park on the banks of the River Tavy, right on the western edge of Dartmoor National Park near Tavistock in south Devon. The park sits at Peter Tavy, about two miles from the market town of Tavistock and its daily pannier market, with the open moor and its tors within walking and cycling reach. Pitches range from budget Parkside grass through riverside and hard-standing options to premium serviced pitches with 16 amp hook-up, water and drainage, so it suits tent campers, tourers and motorhomes alike. If you would rather not bring your own kit, there are TiPis, a Shepherd's Hut, Escape Pods and holiday caravans on site. Families and dog owners are well looked after, with a play area, games room, cycle hub and an off-lead dog walking field, though anyone after nightlife or a big entertainment complex should look elsewhere, as this is a quiet, natural setting. What stands out at Harford Bridge is the riverside position and easy Dartmoor access rather than a packed activity list. The camping and touring season runs from mid-March to mid-November, with pitches from £24 a night for two and self-catering available all year in this corner of west Devon.
