Why campers love it here
About this site
Harford Bunkhouse and Camping is a back-to-nature campsite and glamping site on a working farm in the Dartmoor National Park, about 1.5 miles from Ivybridge in South Devon. Camping is on secluded grass tent pitches in semi-woodland fields with no electric hook-up, so it suits campers who want a rustic, quiet setting rather than a facilities-heavy holiday park. Alongside the tents there is a good spread of glamping: en-suite safari tents with wood-fired hot tubs and log burners, camping pods, a hobbit pod, a cabin and a bunkhouse, which makes the site work for families, groups and anyone wanting comfort without a tent. Small raised firepits and BBQs are allowed, and dogs are welcome on leads, though the site does not accept breeds listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act. The location is the appeal: walking trails on Dartmoor start close by, the River Erme runs nearby, and the coast and Ivybridge town centre are a short drive. Harford Bunkhouse and Camping is open all year, so it works for winter Dartmoor trips as well as summer, and you book camping through the site's booking system.
