Why campers love it here
About this site
Haycraft Caravan and Motorhome Club Site is a 55 pitch, members only touring site above Harmans Cross, set in the Purbeck hills between Corfe Castle and Swanage in Dorset. The site reopened on 28 February 2025 after a major redevelopment, so the toilet block, family washroom, disabled shower room and motorhome service point are all recent work. Of the 55 pitches, 39 are hardstanding and 16 are grass, every one has electric hook-up, and the maximum outfit length is 9 metres. Swanage Railway is a few minutes' walk away, which means you can leave the car and take a heritage steam or diesel train to Corfe Castle village or down into Swanage. The nearest sandy beach is 4 miles, Studland Bay is a little further, and the Purbeck Way runs close by with maps available at reception. Haycraft takes caravans and motorhomes only: there is no tent camping and there are no pods, and the approach is a steep, narrow lane with passing places, so read the Club directions before you tow. There is no car park and only one car per pitch is allowed, which rules out families arriving in two vehicles. A three bedroom cottage sleeping six sits on site for anyone not towing. Haycraft is open to Club members from 27 February to 2 November 2026, with prices quoted through the Club's booking system.
