Why campers love it here
About this site
Pitches: 80 Opening Dates: 01/04 to 02/11 If you enjoy walking, you will love our Club Site at Hayfield. At the foot of the Dark Peak area of the Peak District National Park, it is the ideal place for gentle strolls or more challenging climbs. A predominance of tents makes this a very special Site. Known as "the gateway to Kinder", Hayfield is at the foot of the Kinder Massif, the southern-most point of the Pennine Chain. The Peak District is famous for its walking. From Hayfield, follow the Sett Valley Trail or a take a ridge ramble up Lantern Pike. The Blue John Cavern at Castleton holds eight varieties of Blue John Stone. The shop sells items made from the stone, hand-made by local craftsmen. Buxton is known for its waters and the Buxton Festival in July. Chatsworth House is set in a 1,000 acre park and recently starred in the film Pride and Prejudice. Animal Farm is a rare breeds centre and visitors can try dry-stone walling and panning for Blue John. Ready Camp Glamping We have glamping tents on this campsite. Our Ready Camp tents are ready for when you arrive. Walk in to a comfortable 2-bedroom haven perfect for family and friends, with cosy furnishings and little luxuries.
