Why campers love it here
About this site
Home Farm Camping & Caravan Park is a family run grass touring and camping site on Rectory Lane in Puncknowle, a stone and thatch village in the West Dorset countryside a mile inland from Chesil Beach. The site sits in a conservation area with views over the surrounding hills from the tenting field, and West Bexington, the South West Coast Path and shoreline fishing are all one mile away. Abbotsbury, Bridport, West Bay and Dorchester are short drives, and an hourly bus runs the coast road between Poole and Exeter. Pitches are all on grass, either basic or semi serviced with electric hook up, with parking beside your pitch and drinking water taps around the fields. Home Farm takes tents, caravans, motorhomes, campervans and dive boats on trailers, which makes it a sensible base for divers and walkers as well as families. It does not suit anyone after fire pits, card payments or a hen or stag weekend, because none of those are allowed. Dogs stay free on a lead. There is a play area with swings in the middle of the tenting field. The Puncknowle site opens on 1 April and closes in the first week of October, with basic pitches from £22 a night for two adults, two children and a car, booked by telephone only.
