About this site

Hook Farm Camping & Caravan Park is a family-run campsite at Uplyme, on the Devon and Dorset border, just one mile from Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast. Spread over seven acres in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it looks across the Lym Valley and gives quick access to the South West Coast Path and the East Devon Way, with a riverside walk leading down into Lyme Regis and its sandy beach. Pitches take tents, campervans and motorhomes up to 6.85 metres, and there are bell tents and static caravans for hire plus two holiday cottages. Note that the site cannot take touring caravans of any length, motorhomes over 6.85 metres, or camper conversions that do not meet DVLA requirements, and it allows one unit per pitch, so larger touring outfits should look elsewhere. The setting is a genuine dark skies location, so clear nights bring out the Milky Way. Weekend pop-up food, including wood-fired pizza on Fridays and curry on Saturdays, runs in high season. Dogs are genuinely welcome, with fields and a public right of way for walks off site. The ground slopes, so cycling and scooters are not allowed on the pitches. Hook Farm is the closest campsite to Lyme Regis, and prices are quoted through the park's online booking system.

Good to know

Can I bring a touring caravan or large motorhome to Hook Farm?
No, Hook Farm cannot take touring caravans of any length, or motorhomes over 6.85 metres, because of access on and to the site. It welcomes tents, campervans and smaller motorhomes, and only allows one unit per pitch, so plan your outfit size before booking.
Are dogs allowed at Hook Farm?
Yes, Hook Farm is very dog friendly and welcomes well behaved dogs on site. There is no dog exercise area within the park, but a public right of way leads into open fields for walks. Watch for livestock before letting your dog off the lead.
Does Hook Farm offer glamping?
Yes, Hook Farm has bell tents for hire alongside its tent, campervan and motorhome pitches. There are also static caravans to rent and two holiday cottages booked through Sykes Cottages, so there are options if you do not want to bring your own tent.
How far is Hook Farm from Lyme Regis and the beach?
Hook Farm is about one mile from Lyme Regis and is the closest campsite to the town's sandy beach. A riverside walk leads down into Lyme Regis, and the South West Coast Path and Undercliffs are within easy reach for coastal walking.
Is Hook Farm suitable for families?
Yes, families are welcome. There is no dedicated playground on site, but children tend to enjoy the beach and fossil hunting nearby, and there is a village playground about ten minutes away. Note that cycling and scooters are not allowed because the ground slopes.
How much does Hook Farm cost and how do I book?
Nightly prices are set out as a rate table on the park's 2026 prices page, with pitch prices covering the pitch and two people. Bookings are made through the park's online system, where extras and additional guests are added. Prices vary by pitch type and season.
