Jims Camping

Jim's Camping is a small farm campsite for tents and motorhomes in the village of Owermoigne, between Dorchester and the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. The site sits on Moreton Road at the north end of Owermoigne, roughly 6 miles east of Dorchester and about 2 miles south of Moreton railway station. Ringstead Bay is around 3 miles south, Durdle Door about 4 miles and Lulworth Cove close to 5 miles, so the Dorset coast path and the fossil beaches are an easy morning out. Jim's Camping takes tents and motorhomes only. Touring caravans are not accepted, so anyone towing needs to look at the larger parks around Owermoigne, Crossways or Dorchester instead. Campfires are permitted, which is not common in this part of Dorset and is a large part of the appeal for people who want an evening round the flames rather than a clubhouse. Electric hook-up is not listed, so plan for off grid camping and bring your own power. This is a plain, small scale spot on a working farm, not a park with a pool.
