Karrageen Caravan & Camping Park

Karrageen Caravan & Camping Park is a family-run touring and camping park in a valley near Hope Cove, on National Trust coastline at the southern tip of South Devon. The pretty fishing village of Hope Cove, with its sandy beaches and rock pools, is about a mile down the lane, and the sailing town of Salcombe sits four miles away, with Bolberry, Malborough and Kingsbridge all close by. It takes tents, touring caravans and motorhomes on level pitches, many with sea views and electric hook-ups, and also hires out luxury static caravans. There is no bar, club or children's playground, so it suits campers and families after a quiet, scenic base rather than an entertainment park, though there is plenty of space for children to play safely. A licensed shop at reception bakes fresh baguettes and croissants daily and runs a hot takeaway menu. The water comes from the park's own spring, so showers run on a small meter charge. Dogs are welcome. Touring pitches for 2026 start from £26 a night in low season for a unit with two adults and two children, and Karrageen is open from 27 March to 28 September, with the extra Top Field opening only for peak summer weeks. Book ahead for school holidays, when the park is usually full.
