Kingsmead Centre

Kingsmead Centre is a small, friendly campsite spread across seven acres of woodland in the Blackdown Hills, on the Devon and Somerset border. It sits at Clayhidon near Cullompton in Devon, a tranquil rural spot founded by the owners' family back in 1985 that began life as a small Caravan Club site. There is a real range of ways to stay: private woodland tent pitches that each come with their own picnic bench and firepit, electric and non-electric grass pitches in a sheltered lower field, hardstanding pitches for tourers and motorhomes on the upper level, an overflow meadow for busy times, plus four static caravans, glamping and exclusive whole-site hire. Two shower and toilet blocks with unlimited hot water, an on-site shop and a communal barbecue area keep things practical. Two coarse fishing lakes sit within the grounds, with fishing included in your stay if you hold a valid Environment Agency rod licence. Fire pits are available to hire, and dogs are welcome free of charge when camping.
