About this site

Kingston Lacy National Trust Site is a small Certificated Location caravan site set in the parkland of the National Trust's Kingston Lacy estate near Wimborne Minster in Dorset. It offers five large hardstanding pitches, each with an electric hook-up and foot access to fresh water and waste disposal, with views across rolling countryside where Red Ruby Devon cattle often graze. The site is reserved for club members (the former Caravan Club, now the Caravan and Motorhome Club), so you need current membership to book, and it is not open to non-members. There are no toilet or shower facilities on site, which means it suits self contained caravans and motorhomes rather than tents. From the pitches a designated footpath leads across the fields to Kingston Lacy house, the shop and the restaurant through the formal gardens. The wider 8,500 acre estate takes in the Iron Age hill fort at Badbury Rings, Holt Wood and Holt Heath, and White Mill on the River Stour, giving miles of walking on the doorstep. Wimborne Minster is a short drive away, with Poole, Bournemouth and the coast at Studland and Corfe Castle within easy reach. The caravan site stays open across the year. Prices start from £15 per pitch a night, rising to £17 between April and September, booked directly with the site.
