About this site

Five vans is the limit at Lake Farm Certificated Site, and that cap explains most of what the place is. This is Camping and Caravanning Club land at Ashington, a short way outside Wimborne in east Dorset, so you will need Club membership before you can book, and no single stay can run beyond 28 consecutive days. Tents pitch here too, alongside caravans and motorhomes, and every pitch comes with electric hook up. Dogs are fine. The A31 runs close by, which is what makes the geography work: Wimborne Minster lies about a mile to the north west, Poole about five miles south, and the beaches at Poole and Bournemouth need only a short drive. Head east instead and Ringwood and the New Forest come up at around ten miles. Nobody should arrive at Lake Farm expecting a shop, an entertainment programme or the trappings of a large touring park, because the appeal is a quiet field in Dorset and easy reach of Wimborne. Rates are not published, and the site keeps no website, so telephone 01202 849647 for availability, opening dates and the current price.

Good to know

Do I need to be a Camping and Caravanning Club member to stay at Lake Farm?
Yes, Lake Farm is a Certificated Site, so under Club rules it operates for Camping and Caravanning Club members only. Certificated Sites take a maximum of five caravans or motorhomes at a time, with stays of up to 28 consecutive days. You will need to join before booking.
Can I take a tent to Lake Farm Certificated Site?
Yes, Lake Farm accepts tents as well as caravans and motorhomes. Certificated Site rules cap caravans and motorhomes at five at any one time, and tent numbers are set by the Camping and Caravanning Club. Ring the site on 01202 849647 to check what is free for your dates.
Are dogs allowed at Lake Farm?
Yes, dogs are welcome at Lake Farm. It is a small farm site rather than a large holiday park, so keep dogs under control and clear up after them. Ring the owners on 01202 849647 before booking if you are travelling with more than one dog.
Is there electric hook up at Lake Farm?
Yes, pitches at Lake Farm have electric hook up. As a Certificated Site it is small, so the number of hook up pitches is limited and they go early in summer. Ring 01202 849647 to confirm a hook up pitch is free for your dates and to check prices.
How far is Lake Farm from Wimborne and the coast?
Lake Farm is at Ashington, roughly a mile south east of Wimborne Minster and close to the A31. Poole is about five miles south, and the Poole and Bournemouth beaches are within a 20 minute drive. Ringwood and the western edge of the New Forest are around ten miles east.
