Lemonford Caravan Park

Lemonford Caravan Park is a tidy, family-run park at Bickington on the southern edge of Dartmoor, about three miles from both Ashburton and Newton Abbot in South Devon. The 7.5-acre site is landscaped with trees and shrubs and takes tents, caravans and motorhomes, with level touring pitches, many of them fully serviced with 10-amp electric hook-ups, plus a handful of camping pods that sleep up to four and come with heating, WiFi, a TV and a small kitchen. Facilities are a step up from the basics: an on-site shop, laundrette, two toilet blocks with one heated, washing-up areas, a shared freezer, a children's playground and an accessible wetroom for guests with limited mobility. Dogs are welcome for a charge, on leads and subject to breed restrictions. The park holds a four-star grading, and its position pays off for touring: Buckfast Abbey is ten minutes away, Dartmoor's moor and tors sit on one side and the English Riviera beaches at Torquay and Paignton are about half an hour off.
