Why campers love it here
About this site
Lime Tree Holiday Park is a well kept touring, camping and glamping park set in its own valley on the edge of Buxton, in the Derbyshire Peak District. It is the closest park to the spa town of Buxton, an easy 20 minute walk or a short taxi ride into the centre for cafes, the Opera House and the shops, yet it still feels properly rural, ringed by farmland with a wooded limestone gorge and a grand old railway viaduct as the backdrop. You can pitch a tent, bring a caravan or motorhome onto a mostly hardstanding pitch with electric hook up, book a camping pod for a bit of glamping, or take a self catering lodge, caravan or three bedroom house. There is a large camping field with room for ball games, a campervan corner and terraced pitches near the children's play area, so Lime Tree suits families as well as couples. Free hot showers, a shop, a butchers farm shop, free wifi and a pool table round things off, and dogs are genuinely welcome with a dedicated dog friendly setup. Sitting at over 1000ft, Buxton is the highest market town in England, so pack layers even in summer. The park holds an AA Gold Quality award and opens from March to the end of October, with booking through the Lime Tree website.
