About this site

Manor Grounds is a small Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site on the edge of the Derbyshire village of Marston Montgomery, a short drive south west of Ashbourne and the southern Peak District. It is a five van site that takes up to five caravans or motorhomes plus around ten tents, with four fully serviced hardstanding pitches (electric, water and grey waste) and one grass pitch, each on its own electric meter. Facilities are deliberately simple: fresh water taps and a chemical disposal point, so this is a quiet, get away from it all spot rather than a park with a shop or bar. Pitches are for Camping and Caravanning Club members, though you can join on site, and please note the site does not accept pets. Next door is a small herd of Japanese Sika deer, and The Crown Inn is a five minute walk for food and a pint. The same owners also run three luxury glamping pods here, Oh Deer, No Deer and Yes Deer, each with its own log fired hot tub, if you would rather not pitch a tent. Manor Grounds sits within easy reach of the Peak District, Carsington Water and the Tissington Trail. The touring site opens from mid February to the end of November and pitches are booked as a Club certificated site.
