Merrydown Camping Certificated Site

Merrydown Camping is a Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site on Old Taunton Road at Dalwood, near Axminster in East Devon. The site is open all year and takes up to five caravans or campervans plus around ten tents, with seven electric hook-ups and two hardstanding pitches (no awning on those). Pitches are priced at £25 per night, and it works best for members after a quiet, level field close to good road links rather than a facilities-heavy park. This is a Club Certificated Site, so it is for Camping and Caravanning Club members, though you can usually join on arrival. Dogs are welcome and there is an adjoining field for walking them. A shower and toilet block was added in 2020, and the owners also let a shepherd's hut, loft apartment and a converted stable with hot tub if you fancy a roof over your head. The A35 and A303 are close, putting Lyme Regis about 15 minutes away and both Exeter and Taunton within a 30-minute drive of Merrydown Camping, near Axminster in Devon.
