Why campers love it here
About this site
Minnows Touring Park is an adults-only touring park, for over-14s, beside the Grand Western Canal at Sampford Peverell near Tiverton in mid-Devon. It is the only touring park set right on the canal towpath in Devon, and the gate opens straight onto the water, which makes it a natural base for walking, cycling, canoeing and fishing. There are 59 all-weather pitches across five and a half landscaped acres, all with 16-amp electric hook-ups and hardstanding for caravans and motorhomes, and 14 are fully serviced with fresh water and grey-water drainage, with a circle of pitches that suits rally groups. Tents are accepted, and dogs are welcome, with two dogs free per pitch. A modern heated shower block, laundry, undercover washing-up area, gas and Wi-Fi on every pitch round out the facilities, and reception sells fishing and boating permits, though there is no EV charging on the park. Being adults only and close to Junction 27 of the M5, Minnows Caravan Park suits couples and touring pairs who want a calm, well-kept stopover or canal base rather than families with young children or anyone after a clubhouse. Sampford Peverell village, a short stroll away, has two pubs, a shop and a post office. Minnows Touring Park opens from 9 March to 26 October 2026, with touring pitches from £13 a night plus per-adult fees, and two adults from £26 a night.
