Monkton Wyld Holiday Park is a touring, caravan and camping park set in 25 acres of landscaped grounds near Charmouth in West Dorset, three miles from the harbour town of Lyme Regis. The park sits within the West Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, close to Charmouth beach and the fossil-rich Jurassic Coast. Pitches are designed to take tents, caravans and motorhomes, with a choice of grass or hardstanding and electric or non-electric options, plus a level rally field for small and large groups. The tent pitches use a soft Cotswold-stone hardstanding over a free-draining chalk base, which helps with pegging and drainage in wet weather. Families and dogs are welcome, with two dog-walking areas and a dog wash, and the park keeps a calm, quiet feel across its separate paddocks. Facilities stand out here: the heated shower block has won awards, there is a stocked on-site shop, park-wide WiFi, and three food vans (fish and chips, wood-fired pizza and a pie and burger van) visit each week.
