About this site

Gundrys Farm is a 50 acre, family orientated touring campsite at Three Legged Cross near Wimborne, on the Dorset side of the New Forest border. It has 54 flat, level touring pitches, all with 16 amp electric hook up, taking caravans, motorhomes and tents, plus seasonal pitches and a dedicated rally field with its own entrance and multiple hook up points. Facilities are the strong suit: three shower blocks, four toilet blocks, wash up areas and chemical disposal points, checked several times a day, with free WiFi. There is no glamping and no shop on site, though a camping shop, garden centre and cafe sit within a ten minute walk. It is no longer a working farm, but it keeps a quiet, rural feel and plenty of bird life. Moors Valley Country Park, with its nature trails, steam train and Go Ape, is walkable along a bridle path, and the sandy beaches of Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch are about 10 miles away in Dorset. Dogs are welcome on a lead and there is a dedicated dog walk. The rules are plain: arrivals from noon, departures by 11am, 5mph on site and quiet after 10.30pm. Gundrys Farm opens from 1 April to 30 September, with seasonal pitches to 31 October, and pitches from £18 a night for two people, a car and electric hook up.

Good to know

Is there electric hook up at Gundrys Farm?
Yes, all 54 touring pitches have 16 amp electric hook up, and the rally field has multiple hook up points of its own. The headline rate of £18 a night already includes the hook up along with two people and one car, so power is not charged as an extra.
Are dogs allowed at Gundrys Farm?
Yes, dogs are welcome but must stay on a lead at all times, and there is a dedicated dog walk on site. Moors Valley Country Park is within walking distance for longer runs. The site reserves the right to refuse any dog it considers dangerous or unsuited to a family campsite.
When is Gundrys Farm open?
Gundrys Farm opens from 1 April to 30 September, and seasonal pitches run on to 31 October. The rally field is available from April to September. It is not an all year site, so winter trips to this corner of Dorset need a different base near Wimborne.
How much does it cost to camp at Gundrys Farm?
Pitches start from £18 a night, which covers two people, one car and electric hook up, for caravans, motorhomes and tents alike. The site also offers caravan storage at £2,000 for a whole year including winter. Payment is by card, bank transfer, cheque or cash.
Can Gundrys Farm take a rally?
Yes, there is a dedicated rally field with its own entrance that stewards can control, flat even ground with the grass cut ready, water and waste disposal, and multiple electric hook up points. It takes both small and very large rallies and is available from April to September.
How far is Gundrys Farm from Moors Valley and the beach?
Moors Valley Country Park is within walking distance along a bridle path, which is good for cycling too, and has nature trails, a steam train and Go Ape. The sandy beaches of Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch are about 10 miles away, with the New Forest a short drive.
