About this site

Newhaven Caravan & Camping Park is a long-established touring park set in a sheltered dip in the hills, halfway between Buxton and Ashbourne where the A515 meets the A5012. The location makes it a handy base for touring the Peak District National Park, and it sits opposite the Newhaven Hotel and garage with Carriages restaurant right next door. There are 155 pitches for tents, touring caravans and motorhomes across grounds planted with trees and shrubs and kept to a high standard. This is a proper traditional park rather than a boutique campsite, so you get two ablution blocks with free hot showers, deep sinks, a coin-operated laundry with drying and ironing, and a well-stocked shop selling groceries, local dairy produce, gas exchange and caravan bits. Two large play areas with swings and a climbing frame keep younger campers busy. Dogs on leads are very welcome, though they are kept out of the shop and toilet blocks. Newhaven Caravan & Camping Park opens from March to October, and static holiday caravans are also sold on site if you fancy a longer stay near Buxton.
