About this site

Newlands Holidays is a large family holiday park in Charmouth, West Dorset, a short walk from the Jurassic Coast and its fossil beaches. Alongside camping, touring and motorhome pitches and glamping pods, the park has holiday caravans, lodges, apartments and motel rooms, so it works for tents through to a roofed stay. Camping fields spread across sloping and level ground with non-electric, 10-amp and 16-amp electric pitches, and hardstanding is kept mainly for tourers and motorhomes. Charmouth Beach is within walking distance, Lyme Regis is 3 miles west, and West Bay and Bridport are close by, with the site signed just off the A35. What stands out is the on-site leisure: indoor and outdoor pools, a splash zone, a gym, play areas, and the Tow Bar restaurant and lounge. That makes Newlands Holidays a busy, activity-led park, so it suits families and couples who want plenty to do rather than anyone after a small, quiet field. Dogs are welcome with a maximum of two per unit, though some guests note the dog exercise area is compact and pool sessions are charged separately. Camping runs from March to early November, with pitches from £28 a night for up to 6 guests, and other accommodation and dates are quoted through the Newlands booking system.

Good to know

Are dogs allowed at Newlands Holidays?
Yes, dogs are welcome on the camping and touring pitches, up to two per unit, and there is a dog exercise area. Some breeds listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act are not accepted. A few guests feel the exercise area is small, so plan nearby walks too.
What facilities are on site?
Newlands has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a splash zone, a gym, children's play areas and the Tow Bar restaurant and lounge. Swimming pool sessions are charged separately rather than included in the pitch price, so budget for these if you plan to swim often during your stay.
When is Newlands open for camping?
Camping runs from March to early November, closing over winter. The 2026 season runs from early March to the start of November, with the summer school holidays the busiest period. Confirm exact dates and book through the Newlands booking system before you travel.
How much are camping pitches?
Camping pitches start from £28 a night for up to 6 guests, with non-electric, 10-amp and 16-amp electric options. Prices for caravans, lodges, apartments, motel rooms and glamping pods vary and are quoted through the Newlands online booking system by date and type.
How close is Newlands to the beach?
Charmouth Beach, a well-known Jurassic Coast fossil beach, is within walking distance. Lyme Regis is 3 miles west, with West Bay and Bridport also close by. The park is signed just off the A35, roughly 3 miles east of Lyme Regis.
