About this site

Norden Farm Touring Caravan & Camping Site is a family-run, four-pennant campsite on a working farm just outside Corfe Castle on the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset. The site spreads across four level grass fields in a quiet valley, within a mile of Corfe Castle village and about 3.5 miles from the market town of Wareham, with Studland Bay and Swanage roughly fifteen minutes away by car. Two bus stops sit at the entrance and the Swanage steam railway is a five-minute walk, so you can leave the car and still explore Purbeck. Three fields have electric hook-up, and a six-acre field gives non-electric pitching for tents and campervans in peak season. There are no hardstanding pitches, so tourers who need firm ground should look elsewhere, and the site closes over winter. Glamping is available, and families are well served by farm animals, a playground, a fishing pond, two shower blocks and an on-site farm shop selling gas, ice and camping basics. Dogs are welcome. Norden Farm suits campers who want a proper working-farm setting with easy transport links rather than a facilities resort. The site opens from 1 April to 31 October, with electric pitches from £12.50 a night in low season (non-electric pitches are £5 less) and people charged on top.

Good to know

Is Norden Farm Campsite dog friendly?
Yes, dogs are welcome at Norden Farm. The working-farm setting has plenty of walking on the doorstep, including a footpath to Corfe Castle village and access up onto the Purbeck Ridgeway, so there is space to exercise them nearby.
Does Norden Farm have electric hook-up pitches?
Yes, three of the four grass fields have electric hook-up, and a separate six-acre field offers non-electric pitching for tents and campervans in peak season. There are no hardstanding pitches, as the whole site is grass.
When is Norden Farm Campsite open?
The campsite opens from 1 April to 31 October each year, weather permitting. It closes over the winter, so plan touring caravan, motorhome and tent stays around the spring, summer or early autumn months in Dorset.
How much does it cost to stay at Norden Farm?
Electric pitches start from £12.50 a night in low season, with non-electric pitches £5 less and adults, children and extras charged separately. A £50 non-refundable deposit is required on all bookings, and prices rise through mid and high season.
Is Norden Farm suitable for families?
Yes, families are well catered for, with farm animals, a playground and a fishing pond on site. The nearby Swanage steam railway, Corfe Castle and Purbeck beaches make it a practical base for a family holiday in Dorset.
Are campfires or fire pits allowed at Norden Farm?
Yes, fire pits are normally allowed, though they can be suspended during hot, dry spells for safety. Barbecues used for cooking and raised off the grass are fine at those times, so check current conditions with the site before arriving.
