About this site

Nutley Farm Campsite is an adults-only Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Location (CL) at Nutley Farm, near Winfrith Newburgh and Dorchester in Dorset. The small site has five pitches, all with electric hook-up, on a quiet, sheltered field beside Winfrith Heath nature reserve, and it reopened under its current owners in 2021. Because it is a CL, you must hold current Caravan and Motorhome Club membership to book, and it takes touring caravans and motorhomes only, so there is no tent camping and no provision for children. Dogs are welcome, and the surrounding heathland and reserve are good for walking and birdwatching, with two village pubs serving food within walking distance. The working farm is home to friendly animals including horses, reindeer, chickens and ducks, which sets it apart from a plain overnight halt. The World Heritage Jurassic Coast is around five miles away, putting Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door within an easy drive, along with Monkey World and the Tank Museum. Nutley Farm is a calm, spacious base for members touring Dorset who value quiet over facilities, and it also has separate holiday cottages for anyone not touring.

Good to know

Do I need to be a member to stay?
Yes, this is a Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Location, so you must hold current Caravan and Motorhome Club membership to book a pitch. The CL has just five pitches, which keeps it quiet and spacious for touring members exploring this part of Dorset.
Is the campsite adults only?
Yes, the Nutley Farm CL is an adults-only site, so it is not set up for children or families staying on pitches. Families looking to visit the farm can instead book one of the separate holiday cottages, which are let apart from the caravan site.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, Nutley Farm is a dog friendly CL. The site sits beside Winfrith Heath nature reserve, and the surrounding heathland offers good walking and birdwatching straight from the pitch, with two village pubs serving food within walking distance for a break.
Do the pitches have electric hook-up?
Yes, all five pitches have electric hook-up. Drinking water, rubbish and recycling disposal and a chemical waste point are provided, so the site is set up for touring caravans and motorhomes wanting a quiet, well-equipped stopover in the Dorset countryside.
Can I pitch a tent here?
No, the site is a Certificated Location for touring caravans and motorhomes only, so tent camping is not offered. If you want to camp under canvas in the area, you will need to look at a different Dorset campsite that accepts tents.
How far is the Jurassic Coast?
Yes, it is close: the World Heritage Jurassic Coast is around five miles away, putting Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door within an easy drive. Monkey World and the Bovington Tank Museum are also nearby, making the farm a handy touring base for the wider Purbeck area.
