Oak Cottage Certicated Location

Oak Cottage is a five van Certificated Location for caravans and motorhomes on Holly Lane at Walkford, on the Dorset edge of Christchurch. The site covers a quarter of an acre of grass pitches with 13 amp electric hook-up and is open all year, which makes it useful for winter touring when most of this coast has shut up shop. The sea is the draw. The nearest sand is a mile away and the Caravan and Motorhome Club describes a dog walk to the beach of 1 mile through woodland tracks, with Highcliffe about a mile off and Barton on Sea under 2 miles. Christchurch town is roughly 4 miles, New Milton station is a little over a mile, and buses to Bournemouth and Lymington stop within a mile. Oak Cottage suits couples and dog owners who want a quiet base near the water: the Club lists it as ideal for adults, dogs and peaceful stays, and there is a dog walk from the site. Tents are not accepted and there is no glamping, so this is caravans and motorhomes only, five at a time. It is a members only Certificated Location, so you need Caravan and Motorhome Club membership to book, and the full directions and pitch prices appear only once you log in to the Club listing.
