Oakmoor Touring Park

Oakmoor Touring Park is an adults-only touring and camping site on the southern edge of Dartmoor near Bovey Tracey in South Devon. For the 2026 season it runs as an adults-only park, with 47 generously sized, sheltered pitches for tents and tourers, all larger than the standard dimensions found on many club sites. It sits beside the Devon Wildlife Trust's Chudleigh Knighton Heath Nature Reserve, with a half-mile off-road walk to Chudleigh Knighton village, its shop and the Claycutters Arms pub. Grass pitches without a hook-up start from £16 a night, and other pitches rise to £28 in low season and £32 in high season, with electric hook-ups available. Dogs are welcome at £2 per night, though they cannot be left unattended on the site. This is a quiet, wildlife-rich spot for couples, walkers and cyclists who want calm rather than a family park with a pool or clubhouse, so anyone travelling with children should look elsewhere. Bovey Tracey, Stover Country Park and the moor itself are all close by for walking, cycling and days out. The family-run park opens from early April to late September. Oakmoor Touring Park works well as a peaceful Dartmoor base, and with limited pitches it is worth booking ahead by phone for summer stays.
