Packhorse Farm Campsite

Packhorse Farm Campsite is a relaxed, family friendly campsite on a working farm at Tansley, on the eastern edge of the Peak District near Matlock in Derbyshire. It sits on level, well kept ground with far reaching views towards Riber Castle, and has room for 50 pitches, 44 of them with electric hook up. Tents, trailer tents and campervans are all welcome, and if you would rather have four walls the heated glamping pod is available right through the year. The centrally heated toilet block is a real plus in cooler months, with plenty of hot showers, private wash cubicles, hairdryers and accessible and baby changing facilities. Tansley village is about half a mile away and has two pubs that welcome children plus a shop with a post office, so you are not stuck for supplies. Matlock town centre is roughly 2.5 miles away, and it is a short drive to Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. Walking, cycling and horse riding are all close by. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement for a small nightly charge, and Packhorse Farm is proud of its eco credentials, drawing on sustainable energy. Pitches start from £30 a night for two people including electric hook up, rising to £33 in July and August, and you can book online through the campsite.
