Why campers love it here
About this site
Paddocks Farm Certificated Site is a small touring and glamping park at Broadoak, in the Marshwood Vale countryside just north of Bridport in west Dorset, now trading as The Paddocks. Broadoak sits about 4 miles from Bridport town centre and around 5 miles from the Jurassic Coast at West Bay, the harbour village used as a filming location for Broadchurch. The touring side is deliberately tiny: five caravan pitches, each with electric hook up. Alongside them the operator runs glamping tents, six newly built detached pods with private shower rooms and decked terraces, and a loft conversion apartment called the Pad. That mix suits couples, small groups and families who want a countryside base near Bridport with somewhere warm and dry to sleep, and it does not suit anyone after a large touring park with a shop, a pool or evening entertainment. What stands out is the flexibility: because the park is small, groups can book the whole of it and mix pods, tents and pitches in one stay, which sorts out the snorers and the early risers in one go. A thatched village inn is within walking distance and free wifi covers the site. Pitches and glamping at The Paddocks are booked direct with the operator on 01308 867532.
