About this site

Paddocks Farm Certificated Site is a small touring and glamping park at Broadoak, in the Marshwood Vale countryside just north of Bridport in west Dorset, now trading as The Paddocks. Broadoak sits about 4 miles from Bridport town centre and around 5 miles from the Jurassic Coast at West Bay, the harbour village used as a filming location for Broadchurch. The touring side is deliberately tiny: five caravan pitches, each with electric hook up. Alongside them the operator runs glamping tents, six newly built detached pods with private shower rooms and decked terraces, and a loft conversion apartment called the Pad. That mix suits couples, small groups and families who want a countryside base near Bridport with somewhere warm and dry to sleep, and it does not suit anyone after a large touring park with a shop, a pool or evening entertainment. What stands out is the flexibility: because the park is small, groups can book the whole of it and mix pods, tents and pitches in one stay, which sorts out the snorers and the early risers in one go. A thatched village inn is within walking distance and free wifi covers the site. Pitches and glamping at The Paddocks are booked direct with the operator on 01308 867532.

Good to know

How many caravan pitches are there at Paddocks Farm?
There are five caravan pitches, each with an electrical hook up, which is the standard maximum for a small certificated site. They sit in the same park as the glamping tents, so the whole place stays small and quiet rather than filling up with rows of vans.
Is there glamping as well as camping?
Yes, the operator runs glamping tents in the park, six newly built detached pods with their own private shower rooms and decked terraces, and a spacious loft conversion apartment called the Pad. That gives you a choice of bringing your own outfit or turning up to a bed that is already made.
Do the pitches have electric hook up?
Yes, all five caravan pitches at The Paddocks have electrical hook ups. The pods are built accommodation with private shower rooms, so power is included there as standard. Free wifi covers the whole park, which is useful given how rural Broadoak and the Marshwood Vale are.
How far is Paddocks Farm from the Jurassic Coast?
The park is around 5 miles from West Bay, the harbour village on the Jurassic Coast just south of Bridport, and about 4 miles from Bridport town centre itself. West Bay has a sandy beach, cliff walks and the harbour used as a filming location for Broadchurch.
Is there a pub nearby?
Yes, a thatched village inn is within walking distance of the park, and the operator points to a wider spread of local eateries within a short drive. Bridport, about 4 miles away, has the Palmers Brewery, a busy market and an arts centre for a wet afternoon.
How do I book?
Glamping tents and caravan pitches are booked direct with the operator rather than through an online checkout. The number is 01308 867532 and the park is at Paddocks Lane, Broadoak, Bridport, Dorset DT6 5NR. Ask about pitch prices and current availability when you call.
