About this site

Pennymoor Camping & Caravan Park is a spacious 20 acre rural park at Modbury in the South Hams of South Devon, run by the same family for more than 90 years. It looks out over panoramic views of Dartmoor and the Devon countryside and sits within a few minutes' drive of the beaches at Bigbury on Sea, Bantham and Hope Cove, with Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Dartmouth and Plymouth all within easy reach. The park takes tents, touring caravans and motorhomes, and also has static caravans, lodges and seasonal pitches, with standard and larger hardstanding pitches available. Facilities include clean toilet and shower blocks with free hot water, a separate disabled room, laundry, a shop, a children's play area and two dog walking areas. Well behaved dogs are welcome on a lead. It suits families and couples wanting a quiet, tidy touring base close to the coast, though the site enforces a firm no noise policy after 11pm and does not accept single sex party groups. What stands out is the combination of Dartmoor views, genuine space and a long family run history that keeps regulars coming back. Pennymoor is open for camping and touring from mid March to early November, with 2026 pitches from £20 a night, plus £5 for electric hook up.
