Why campers love it here
About this site
Port View Caravan and Camping Park is a small, wooded pitch site at Hurn outside Christchurch, in the eastern corner of Dorset, and its outdoor pool is the thing that sets it apart from the other touring fields around here. Tents, tourers and motorhomes all fit, and you choose a pitch with or without mains power. The pool runs seasonally. Dogs come along provided they stay on a lead the whole time. Expect a modest, low-key site: there are no lodges, no clubhouse and no cabaret, which is precisely why the same campers keep rebooking, so grab a summer slot early. Geography is the other draw. Mudeford Quay and Christchurch harbour sit just down the road, the sands at Bournemouth and Poole take only a short drive, and New Forest tracks for walking and cycling begin more or less at the gate. Port View trades from March through October. No tariff is published anywhere on the site, so pitch costs come back through the park's own booking form, which is worth submitting well ahead of the school holidays if you want a particular week.
