Why campers love it here
About this site
Priory Meadow Certificated Site is a small, member only campsite on Conniger Lane at East Walls, tucked against the Saxon town walls on the edge of Wareham in Purbeck. The acre of level, well sheltered ground puts you within a few minutes walk of Wareham quay, the River Frome and the town's shops and pubs, with Corfe Castle about 4 miles south and Poole Harbour and the Studland beaches close behind. The Camping and Caravanning Club lists it as a Hideaway with coastal credentials, fishing and boating nearby, and golf, tennis, horse riding and a swimming pool all off site in and around Wareham. Pitches are grass without electric, grass with electric hook-up and hardstanding with hook-up. Be clear on the catch: the Club listing shows no toilets or showers, and the site takes small caravans and motorhomes only, so this is a spot for self contained tourers rather than tents, families wanting a shower block or anyone in a big twin axle. Booking is essential. Priory Meadow is open all year, from 1 January to 31 December 2026, with member prices from £22 a night per unit.
