About this site

Redcliffe Farm Campsite is a family-run touring and tent park on the edge of the River Frome, a short walk from the market town of Wareham in Dorset. The site sits at Ridge (postcode BH20 5BE), roughly a 15 minute (about 1km) walk from Wareham quay and its shops, restaurants and weekly market. Pitches take tents, touring caravans and motorhomes, with electric hook-up available as an extra, and the ground is level and open with views towards Poole Harbour and the Purbeck hills. The real draw is the water: Redcliffe Farm has its own private slipway about 100m from the entrance, suitable for motorboats on trailers, dinghies, kayaks and paddleboards, and a short trip downriver leads into Poole Harbour. That makes it a strong base for boating, fishing, walking and cycling around Purbeck and the Jurassic Coast. Reviewers rate the location and river access highly, though the washing facilities are simple and the showers are coin-operated, so this suits campers happy with a straightforward setup rather than resort-style amenities. Dogs are welcome for a small nightly charge. There is a three night minimum stay and booking is by phone only. The 2026 season runs from 1 April to 30 September, with tent pitches from £20 a night.
