Why campers love it here
About this site
Rivendell Park is a family friendly camping and glamping resort set across eight acres of woodland and parkland at Horton Heath, near Wimborne in east Dorset. The site was formerly the Rivendell Naturist Outdoor Club, and it now trades as Rivendell Park with a general clothed guest policy rather than a naturist one. Accommodation ranges from electric and non electric tent pitches beside the stream or in the woodland, through bell tents, air dome tents and safari tents, to indoor rooms including Rivendell House, the Rivendell Nook apartment and Woodman Lodge. Vehicles are not allowed on the pitches, so it suits campers happy to carry kit a short way and does not suit anyone needing to park beside a tent, touring caravan or motorhome. A covered pool heated in summer, a hot tub, a sauna, a licensed terrace bar and a small shop set it apart from a plain field, and well behaved dogs on leads are welcome throughout. Wimborne is a few miles away, with the beaches of Bournemouth and Poole and the New Forest all within reach. Camping starts from £45 a night and glamping from £120 a night, booked through the operator's online system.
