Why campers love it here
About this site
Seadown Holiday Park is a level, family-run caravan and camping park beside the River Char at Charmouth, on the Dorset coast, with the beach only around 150 yards away. The park sits on Bridge Road (postcode DT6 6QS) within walking distance of Charmouth village and close to the fossil-hunting beaches of the Jurassic Coast, with Lyme Regis a short drive west. Pitches are level and all have electric hook-up, taking touring caravans, tents, motorhomes and smaller campervans, and there are modern static holiday homes to hire for anyone who prefers not to bring their own. Facilities include heated toilet and shower blocks, plenty of hot water, a laundrette and a daily park shop, plus a children's play area and space for games such as tennis, badminton and table tennis. An open riverside area has bench tables for picnics and barbecues. This suits families and coast walkers who want easy beach access and a quiet, tidy site rather than a large park with bars and entertainment. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. Seadown makes a handy base for fossil walks organised from the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre and for exploring the West Dorset coast. Prices and current availability are quoted through the park directly.
