About this site

Sealwood Cottage Certificated Site is a small, members only campsite for the Camping and Caravanning Club, set on a quiet lane at Linton near Swadlincote, deep in the National Forest, in south Derbyshire. Being a Certificated Site it stays deliberately small, taking up to five caravans or motorhomes plus a handful of tents, so you get a peaceful, uncrowded stay rather than a busy holiday park. You need to be a Club member to book, though you can usually join to stay. Unusually for a site this size it has electric hook ups along with toilets and showers, which makes it comfortable for longer touring stops, and dogs are welcome. The National Forest setting is the appeal, with woodland walks and quiet cycling on the doorstep and thousands of newly planted trees turning this corner of the country green. Conkers, Rosliston Forestry Centre and the market town of Swadlincote are all close by for days out, and it makes a handy stop for exploring the forest and the surrounding south Derbyshire countryside. Sealwood Cottage is open all year and booked through the Club.
