About this site
Pitches: 75 Opening Dates: Open All Year "Glorious views of Dartmoor National Park" Our Tavistock Club Site lies on the west side of Dartmoor National Park and enjoys fabulous views over the moor - it is the ideal spot to leave the car behind and explore the moorland paths, lanes and rivers on foot. There is also a nature walk on site. The National Park has a beautiful moorland landscape with wooded valleys and windswept Tors. There are more natural attractions nearby, including Lydford Gorge, which stretches 1.5 miles from the Devils Cauldron whirlpool to the 100ft White Lady Waterfall. Outdoor enthusiasts can also enjoy the Granite Way, a spectacular 11-mile cycle and walk way from Okehampton to Lydford. The village of Lydford has a Norman Castle, while other local historic places of interest include the Finch Foundry Museum, Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre and a prison museum in Princetown.
