The Old Rectory Caravan & Camping Park

The Old Rectory Caravan and Camping Park is a small, family run park in the Tamar Valley National Landscape, close to Gulworthy and the market town of Tavistock in west Devon. Set in around five acres on the Devon and Cornwall border, it keeps things intimate: eleven touring pitches with optional electric hook up, four private enclosed non electric pitches, four timber camping pods and space for roughly twenty tents, alongside a self catering coach house conversion. A reception building was added in 2023. The setting is the selling point, with outstanding views across to Dartmoor and a working smallholding on site where you will find rare breed Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs, ducks, bees and free range chickens. This is a peaceful, quiet countryside park aimed at families and couples after calm rather than nightlife, so anyone wanting a big site with a bar, pool or entertainment should look elsewhere. Morwellham Quay, home of the BBC Edwardian Farm, is close by, along with Dartmoor National Park and many of the major attractions of Devon and Cornwall. The Old Rectory near Tavistock is booked directly through the park, with the timber camping pods offering a step up for those who would rather not pitch a tent.
