Why campers love it here
About this site
Tom's Field Camping Site is a traditional, no-frills campsite for tents, campervans and motorhomes in the Isle of Purbeck, next to Langton Matravers village and about 3 miles from Swanage in Dorset. The camping fields are edged by old stone walls, with some sheltered corners and others opening to views over Swanage Bay and the Purbeck hills. A footpath reaches the coast path in around 20 minutes on foot, so you can walk to Dancing Ledge and the Jurassic Coast without a car, and the village pub serving meals is a few minutes away. Pitches suit tents, campervans and motorhomes only, and touring caravans are not accepted. A standard pitch covers one tent and one car, or a single campervan or motorhome, with electric hook-up available on some pitches when free. There is a useful on-site shop plus the Sprout and Bean cafe for breakfasts and pizza. Dogs and families are welcome. Established for more than 60 years, Tom's Field is a place for simple camping rather than polished facilities or glamping. Camping costs from £14 a night per adult and £4 per child aged 5 to 16, with electric hook-up charged as an extra.
