Why campers love it here
About this site
Pitches: 100 Opening Dates: Mid March To End Of October The campsiteis situated amidst the Purbeck Hills in an area of outstanding beauty in the village of Langton Matravers and is 2_ miles from Swanage seafront. The 4_ acres of fields are surrounded by old stone walling and the pitches offer a variety of aspects, with some delightful views of Swanage Bay. The close proximity of many excellent walks is an attractive feature. It is possible to walk to Swanage via the Coast Path and catch a bus back to the village. Seacombe Bay, Winspit and Worth Matravers are nearby. Toms Field is within easy reach of England's natural World Heritage Site, the Jurassic Coast. The stretch of the coast path from Studland Bay to Exmouth in Devon is now this World Heritage Site. The geology of the Jurassic Coast represents 185 million years of earth history. On-site facilities include toilet block with showers, washing up facilities, disabled toilet and shower, a well stocked shop and gas exchange. We are keen on recycling and the facilities for this. There is what we call The Stone Room which is a simple 2 person accommodation with an enclosed terraced outside area and toilet and wet room. We also have a Walkers' Barn which can accommodate up tp 6 people for very basic overnight stays, ideal for hikers.
