Upper Booth Farm Campsite National Trust

Upper Booth Farm Campsite is a traditional National Trust site on a working farm at Edale in the Hope Valley, with the Pennine Way running straight through the fields. It sits below the heather moors of the Kinder plateau in the Peak District, about two miles on foot from Edale village and its shop, cafés and pubs. There are 40 pitches for tents and campervans, though motorhomes cannot be accepted and tent space is capped at roughly 6m by 4m, so read the pitch notes before you book. Two dogs are welcome per pitch. This is a quiet, unplugged spot rather than a facilities resort: you get showers, toilets, a washing-up area, a small shop and raised barbecues, plus a 10pm to 7am quiet time. What stands out is the walking, with Kinder Scout, Kinder Reservoir and Mam Tor all within reach, and your stay brings free entry to nearby National Trust places. Upper Booth Farm Campsite opens from early March to the end of November, with a one-night minimum, and pitches are booked through the National Trust website.
