Why campers love it here
About this site
Verwood Camping and Caravanning Club Site is a Club owned campsite in a quiet, tree lined setting at Woodlands near Verwood, on the Dorset edge of the New Forest. The New Forest National Park is around seven miles away, and Bournemouth's beaches and pier sit a short drive south, so the site works as a base for both forest walks and the coast. It takes tents, touring caravans, motorhomes and trailer tents on a mix of grass and hardstanding pitches, some with electric hook up. Many grass pitches slope, so levelling ramps and chocks are worth packing. Facilities include a family shower room, a washing up area, a motorhome service point, a small shop and a children's play area, and dog owners get a wooded dog walk beside the site. The site is run by the Camping and Caravanning Club, and non members can book, though members pay less. One thing to weigh up is road noise: the B3081 runs alongside, so pick a pitch away from the road if you want the quietest night. Verwood Club Site opens from late March to late October. Members' prices start from £12.20 a night for the adult charge, with pitch and other fees added, and booking is online through the Club. Salisbury and family attractions such as Paultons Park are within reach.
