About this site

Verwood Camping and Caravanning Club Site is a Club owned campsite in a quiet, tree lined setting at Woodlands near Verwood, on the Dorset edge of the New Forest. The New Forest National Park is around seven miles away, and Bournemouth's beaches and pier sit a short drive south, so the site works as a base for both forest walks and the coast. It takes tents, touring caravans, motorhomes and trailer tents on a mix of grass and hardstanding pitches, some with electric hook up. Many grass pitches slope, so levelling ramps and chocks are worth packing. Facilities include a family shower room, a washing up area, a motorhome service point, a small shop and a children's play area, and dog owners get a wooded dog walk beside the site. The site is run by the Camping and Caravanning Club, and non members can book, though members pay less. One thing to weigh up is road noise: the B3081 runs alongside, so pick a pitch away from the road if you want the quietest night. Verwood Club Site opens from late March to late October. Members' prices start from £12.20 a night for the adult charge, with pitch and other fees added, and booking is online through the Club. Salisbury and family attractions such as Paultons Park are within reach.

Good to know

Is Verwood Club Site open to non members?
Yes, the site is owned by the Camping and Caravanning Club and non members can book, but Club members pay lower fees. Members' adult prices start from around £12.20 a night, with pitch and other charges on top. Joining the Club can pay off for people who camp often.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, dogs are welcome and there is a designated wooded dog walk beside the site, with a two mile loop and paths through meadows and around ponds nearby. Keep dogs on leads around pitches. The New Forest and surrounding countryside give plenty of longer walking routes to explore.
When is Verwood open?
The site opens from late March to late October, roughly 27 March to 26 October in 2026. It closes over winter. Check in is from 1pm and check out is by noon. Booking for the season is available online through the Camping and Caravanning Club website.
Does it have electric hook up?
Yes, there are grass and hardstanding pitches with electric hook up, as well as grass pitches without electric. Larger jumbo pitches are available for bigger units. Many grass pitches slope, so bring levelling ramps and chocks to get set up comfortably on arrival.
How far is the New Forest and the beach?
The New Forest National Park is about seven miles away, good for walking and spotting wild ponies, roughly a fifteen minute drive. Bournemouth's beach and pier are a short drive south, and Hengistbury Head, Salisbury Cathedral and family attractions such as Paultons Park are all within reach.
Is there road noise at the site?
The site sits beside the B3081, and some visitors note the road can be busy and noisy. If a quiet night matters, ask for a pitch set back from the road when you book. The tree lined layout and woodland surroundings otherwise keep the site peaceful and calm.
