About this site

Woodland Springs Touring Park is an adults-only touring and glamping park within Dartmoor National Park at Venton near Drewsteignton in Devon, exclusively for guests aged 18 and over. It is set back from the main road and surrounded by trees and farmland, which keeps it quiet and secluded, and it is an easy arrival, just 1.5 miles from the A30 and about 18 miles from the cathedral city of Exeter. This is a genuine dark sky site, so lighting around the park is kept deliberately low and a torch is worth packing, but the reward on a clear night is a proper spread of stars. Pitches include generous fully serviced hardstandings and all-weather pitches for tents under 8.5 metres, alongside camping pods for anyone who fancies glamping, and caravans and motorhomes are welcome. Facilities are well kept, with award-winning shower blocks, a small shop and off-licence, laundry and WiFi, and dogs are very welcome with day kennels to hire. Gates are locked overnight from 11pm to 7:30am for security. Being adults only, it suits couples and quiet-minded campers rather than families, as under-18s cannot stay. Woodland Springs is AA 5 Pennant Gold graded, is under new management, and is open all year, with the earliest arrival at 1pm and bookings taken through the park's online system.
